An influential and inspiring new art show called “Urban Heroes, Urban Wood” is opening in Milwaukee in alignment with Black History Month – I designed the poster.
Fresh Perspectives Art Collective in Milwaukee is curating an art show honoring historical African-Americans of note by challenging local African-American artists to create portraits of these figures on wood donated by from Wisconsin Urban Wood. The show opens tomorrow at the Wisconsin Black Historical Society.
I was lucky enough to work with the team promoting the project at Gravity Marketing, and came up with this poster which features the work of one of the artists. The posters are popping up all over town and on the web – very exciting! Great job team!
