Beyond the Yellow Brick Road
I’ve always been a worker bee. Despite running my own business for years now. My best days are spent hands-on: graphic design, brand illustration, and custom WordPress web design. I thrive in long-term, one-on-one client relationships, many of which have lasted for decades. That’s where the real magic happens.
Vintage or just old fashioned?
Does your brand feel like your previous favorite pair of jeans? Technically fine, but no longer vibing? If your brand no longer matches where your business is today, it might be time for a review. Here are five signs it’s time for a glow-up.
Put your best foot forward
Everyone knows the basis of a good outfit starts with the right pair of shoes, be it hiking boots, sneakers or stilettos. The shoes can make or break the outfit. The same goes for your brand.
Have you asked, “Is my site accessible?”

Updated June 14, 2026 Along my journey in the visual design industry, I’ve accumulated a list of best practices on handling graphic files. I find that people who do not walk this road every day tend to get confused. JPGS and PNGS and TIFS and EPS files, what to choose? How do you know you’re […]
How often should I redesign my website?
Updated June 14, 2026 Your website is the hardest working member of your marketing team. It’s available around the clock, it’s usually the first impression a potential client gets of your business, and unlike a brochure or a business card, it’s expected to do a lot — look great, load fast, work on every device, […]
Who are you talking to, exactly?
Updated June 14, 2026 Every design decision I make for a client is informed by one question above all others: who are we talking to? Not in a vague, “everyone who might need our services” way. Specifically. The age range, the values, the aesthetic preferences, the platform habits, the things that make them stop scrolling […]
