How do you make your marketing stand out?
Catchy headlines? Yes.
Striking design? Of course.
Arresting imagery? For sure!
Stock photography and illustration is a great way to go if you’re on a budget – but getting something that’s custom designed for your brand and message is even better, right? Custom illustration doesn’t necessarily mean you need lots-o-dollars either. In most cases, I can scale your project to fit your budget.
Fact: I did not start my career as a graphic designer. My formal training is as a fine artist. I am a painter – figurative, landscapes, and abstracts mostly – working in many mediums. I have pursued painting as a side career but designing is my full time job – and I continue to derive great satisfaction from it. However, it has always been the highlight of my design career to combine these two skill sets by creating custom illustrations for my clients.
Following are some projects completed for other clients. Sometimes the illustrations are part of a larger design project, sometimes I work with clients to develop an illustration or painting that they plan to use in their layouts separate from the project. Either way – it gives me a chance to draw and paint – which I love. These days my illustration toolkit has expanded to include Procreate on the iPad — a tool that has become indispensable for detailed digital illustration work and has opened up new possibilities for client projects that traditional media wouldn’t allow. And it gives my clients a chance to develop their brand in new and distinctive ways that will help them stand out from the crowd.
