thanksgiving2Wondering what to do for client holiday gifts this year?

Of course there are lots of possibilities - Harry & David fruit basket, candy-filled mugs printed with your logo, specialty chocolates. All fine ideas, and I've done all of the above over the years. However, in the last few years I've made a point of doing something a little more personal.

Last week I baked home made muffins, packed them up pretty and delivered them in person to clients in reasonable driving distance. Also, since it's essentially a thank you gift, thanking clients for their business all year, I did a Thanksgiving gift instead of a Christmas gift. I included a designed card (of course!) with a quote which said "The best kind of giving is Thanksgiving" - Chesterton. I have no idea who Chesterton is but I like what he had to say.  And I'd like to think that my clients were touched by the personal nature of the gifts created by me and delivered by hand. Yes, it took some time. But it's a great way to make contact with your clients, let them know you care, and keep them thinking about you throughout the holiday season.
