15 Sep New eBay Logo Bids
Most recent news shows online selling company eBay has introduced a new logo. Do you think it makes the bid?
After a brief search on new logo news my top hit was an article on the Inquisitr website. Read the full article, eBay Debuts New Logo. Says Big Changes Are On The Way here.
Yet, the changes have yet to come. The site still sports the old logo which means this news has truly just came to the surface and our readers can chime in before most will get word.
I know both our readers and creator Rochelle Weiner developer will have and probably share their own thoughts but I wanted to make the first bid. While no expert in logo design, I know what I like. I like it. I see a fresh, clean look in the new choice while a good preservation of the existing brand identity. The colors remain the same but the layout is more simple and modern. Yet enough of what I think, here’s a quote from eBay CEO David Wenig regarding the changes:
“The eBay logo is known the world over, so changing it was not a decision made lightly. The time felt right. We’re incredibly proud of how eBay started and quickly grew into the world’s largest online marketplace. Auction-style listings, used goods, vintage items and quirky, one-of-a-kind finds are still a big part of what makes buying and selling on eBay special. We hope that’s always true. But we’ve evolved a lot in the past few years, and eBay is much more than auction-style listings today.”
On a quick note, I tried to find more information on the designer of the new logo Dianna McDougall but was at a loss to find a matching person and the list of her work. Someone help me out here.
With the change in the Autumn air we wonder what you think and what you need for your own website changes and website updates. With a new logo look you too will make the bid.
